Our Program: Accessible Builders Consortium, Inc. (ABC) would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our organization.  To date ABC has built four single family homes one of which is completely  wheelchair accessible.  Each unit serves a family or individual who is at 80% of the area median income or below.

Organization Profile:: ABC was established June 2003 organized exclusively for charitable purposes and we received our 501 (c) (3) designation in March 2004.   ABC is a Community Housing Development Organization, under a program administered by the Metro Development Housing Agency under the guidelines of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In addition, ABC is a HUD approved nonprofit which allows us to purchase foreclosures, renovate and remodel these homes. The benefit to our consumers is that these homes can be resold at prices that can accommodate individuals with very low income.

ABC’s Development Initiative: We develop affordable housing and educate individuals, families, businesses, builders and community provider groups on the availablility of housing, assistive technology and universally design. We educate families and provide resources to increase the probability of our program participants becoming homeowners. We apply this initiative to all phases of housing such as: new construction, home modifications, acquisition/rehabilitation, rental and multifamily housing.

ABC takes pride in working with people with low income, seniors, people with disabilities and families who have been ignored by the for-profit industry and underserved throughout our nation's history!.
